♪♪ Tips For Choosing Gold Rings ♪♪

If you are thinking of buying a gold ring, having some helpful tips in advance will result in being delighted with your purchase.

One of the most important points to consider is the karat. There are a number of reasons this is relevant. First, it influences the cost. In general, the higher karat you select, the more expensive the ring will be. However, a second point should be taken into consideration. Many people are not aware of what karat means, and automatically assume the priciest jewelry is always the best. The karat designation of a ring shows how much gold the jewelry contains. Higher karats have purer gold content. This means the rings are naturally softer than those with lower gold content are. While fine gold rings can be purchased in any of the standard karats, consider both cost and use before making your final decision. Lower karat gold is stronger and more durable, making it a good choice for everyday wear.

Gold rings are available both with and without gemstones. There is virtually no limit to the gemstones you can choose. Traditional diamonds, birthstones, and a variety of other favorites, can all be found in gold settings. There is one that will catch your eye, and capture the heart of your recipient. A plain gold ring can also be a great gift. Without gemstones, a gold band is as appropriate for casual wear as it is for special occasions.

Choosing the right style is not difficult. When you begin browsing, you will be amazed at the impressive variety of styles. From simple rings to ornate designs, there is something for everyone. Whether you are shopping for a lady who likes lightweight jewelry, or a gentleman who prefers to wear something massive on his hand, it is easy to find the ideal style for your special recipient.

When it comes to buying gold rings, there is only one problem. When you shop for gifts, you will surely find at least one you want for yourself. This does not need to be a problem. With so many different choices available, and in price ranges to fit any budget, there is no reason to not treat yourself too. Whether you are buying rings for holiday gifts or for some other occasion, you do not have to leave yourself out. On your gift shopping day, make sure you buy one that you will love to wear.

BEADS AND SILVER CHOKER

KELLY is on a roll with feathers and leathers at the moment. She has designed some of her best creations yet since my last newsletter. It is hard to describe Kelly’s work as every piece is soooo different (and gorgeous!) Each item that Kelly works with is studied and moved around until she can ‘see’ what it is supposed to be. She is also our in-house expert on old African trade beads and artifacts and she has put aside some really special items for making up into her signature creations during the year. Keep watching this site for the ‘reveal’ of these pieces. Just to give you a small taste, here is an image of her wonderful use of original old Tonga beads made into a stunning necklace.

Elephant Hair Ring

The work coming off their bench (yes – they work next to each other…!!) is really stunning. Tato favours the more magical and delicate pieces while Devon delights us with his bold use of natural materials and unique designs. They have created their own following of fans and even just local sightseers, who, like us, wait with bated breath to catch a glimpse of their next creation!

April Is Diamond Month

You don't have to be an April baby to sparkle in diamonds for a steal! See how this month's birthstone is enjoying some of the biggest discounts of the year.

April is known for wet weather, spring fever and this year - a royal wedding bonanza - but that's not all the month offers us.
How about diamonds? And lots of them.
The birthstone for April is (of course) the diamond, and sample sale sensation, JewelClub is taking it quite seriously by slashing the prices of some of their most bling-worthy diamond gems lower than they've ever been before.
The 1/2 ct diamond anniversary band pictured below, for example? Is 83% off the retail price - one of their biggest discounts ever offered. And they've got this fashion-forward pendant in black, champagne and white diamonds for under $100. And that's just the tip of the 'ice' berg, so to speak.

It's a sparkle-filled stash full of savings opportunities that only come around about as often as, well, a royal wedding. So, hop to it, chaps!
